The Grant County Art Guild’s gallery in the Hearst Church at Pinos Altos is open from 10 till 5 today and features local art and fine crafts from from this 42 member guild. There will be a featured artist available to greet you and give you a tour.
Friday, July 27: Featured artist is award winning local artist Barbara Kejr.
Saturday, Jully 28: Featured artist is Carolyn Gray-Patty, a graduate of the Minneapolis School of Art. Her work has sold nationally and internationally.
Sunday, July 29: Featured artist, Mary Soule, historian and long-term member of GCAG, who has recently won “Best in Show” in crafts and other awards for her nedlework pieces.
Friday Aug.3: There will be a featured artist available to greet you and give you a tour.
Saturday Aug. 4: Featured artist today is Cynthia Hickman, who is a fabric artist and shows a variety of items that are both unique and creative.
Sunday Aug.5: Malika Crozier, featured artist for today, is a member artist who works in clays and glazes and presents a wide vaiety of pieces in wall hangings, cups, plates and much more. “When creating, I like celebratory images and forms to occupy my focus and energy. And I intend that those who live with my work be reminded often that Life is to Celebrate.”
Friday Aug. 10: Carolyn Paez, a painter, is our featured artist for today. Oils, acrylics and watercolors are the mediums she has chosen to work in; she finds delight in trying to capture the beauty of a variety of subjects, especially the beautiful landscapes of the Southwest.
Saturday Aug. 11: Mary Soulé is a multi-talented artist who works mainly in fabric art, including sewing and crochet, but also works in ceramics and photography. She will be our featured artist for today.
Sunday Aug. 12: Karen Muench is today’s featured artist. She creates whimsical, brightly colored, mostly Southwestern folk art. Karen says “Creating art is a deeply personal, rewarding, enjoyable and important part of my life.”
Friday Aug. 17: Photographers Sandy Feutz and Tom Vaughan will be at the gallery to greet you today and give you a tour. Working as FeVa Fotos, Tom and Sandy share the joy they find in photography through framed and matted prints and photo cards. Their newest creations feature original photography transferred to canvas.
Saturday Aug. 18: Tom Vaughan and Sandy Feutz, working as FeVa Fotos photographers, invite you to stop by the gallery today to see the works of the member artists and crafters.
Sunday Aug 19: Fabric artist, Jan Wagner, will be your hostess and the featured artist today. Jan’s recycled fabric baskets are one of the most popular craft items at the gallery.
Friday August 24: Sharon White is the featured artist for today and will be at the gallery to greet you and give you a tour of the gallery.
Saturday August 25: Today’s featured artist is Carolyn Gray-Patty, a graduate of the Minneapolis School of Art. Her work has sold nationally and internationally. Carolyn will be at the gallery to greet you and to show you her work and that of the other local member artists and crafters.
Sunday August 26: Sharon White will be your hostess and the featured artist at the gallery today.
