The parade is sponsored annually by the Silver City MainStreet Project. You will want your organization to take part in this fun event. Enjoy the looks of awe on the faces of children as they watch this parade go by in the dark, lit up by thousands of Christmas llights! The Lighted Christmas Parade is always the Saturday night (at dark) after Thanksgiving.
Partnerships with individuals, businesses, corporate donors, the Town of Silver City, and state agencides have made the Silver City MainStreet Project an integral part of local economic development. Since 1985, MainStreet has provided business services, developed infrastructure improvements and promoted historic preservation and design sujpport. There are more than 200 retail and service businesses, non-profit organizations, art studios, churches and government services in the Historic Downtown district.
