Local Naturalist, Mike Fugagli, has been working on the owl count in Southern New Mexico this Spring and Summer. He will share his knowledge of local owls with you. Mike will give a brief overview of the different owl species in the area. He will then lead the group to a known site. This workshop will be a chance to learn about our owns and have a bit of an adventure.
Workshops will be held on July 19th,July 28th, and August 11th. Call to reserve a space, 575-538-2528. These workshops will fill quickly. Cost $25.(checks should be made out to Mike Fugagli).
Meet at the Bear Mountain Lodge off of Cottage San Road at 6:00pm to carpool to the site. The tours are limited to 15 people each night. Remember to bring water, snacks, good hiking shoes, and a head lamp.
