The Southwest Festival of the Written Word is scheduled for the last weekend in September, 2013 (September 27, 28, 29). There will be writing workshops, readings, panel discussions, a major southwestern author or two speaking at a big function in the Murray Hotel on Saturday evening, a funky Friday night event with some slam poetry, some hometown reading, some music, some stand-up and performance art. We hope to have at least one one-act play, a 300-word writing contest, and book signings galore. We will know more details as we get closer, but for now mark your calendars!
